The u-Tap Tapping Arm consists of a radial arm connected to a tilting arm that is balanced by a pneumatic damper. The tilting arm fixes to the head member and pneumatic motor, and works in a perpendicular axis to the work piece. The u-Tap 400VH and 800VH additionally offer the ability to tap vertically or horizontally. The pneumatic motor is available in 2 speeds, 400 or 800 RPM. The tap holder is mounted directly to the pneumatic motor with a quick change system that utilizes SCM tap adapters. This system offers rigid adapters for through holes and easy to machine materials, as well as torque control adapters, which offer added safety for blind holes and difficult to machine materials. The SCM tap adapter system is a 5 second quick change method that reduces tool change time and increases the productivity in all threading operations.
